Experience Details

During this 1.5 hour Tokyo sushi-making class, guests will learn how to make 5 types of sushi, including nigiri sushi and tamagoyaki sushi, in a private room overlooking a charming Japanese garden inside a 100-year-old sushi shop in the heart of the city.

There are three main methods of forming sushi, and during this class, the cooking teacher and chef will show you the “kotegaeshi” and “tategaeshi” methods. Since this Tokyo cooking class takes place at a shop with over 100 years of history, the owner is able to teach the traditional practices of sushi craftsmanship.

Your host, Kazuki, is the president of Sushi Bar Yachiyo, and has taught this Tokyo sushi-making class to over 5000 visitors from abroad. His sushi-making experience is a welcoming and wonderful introduction to the world of sushi.

Finally, at the end of the Tokyo sushi-making class, everyone will eat lunch together and enjoy some time to socialize. After learning how to make sushi during this class, you can take home the skills to whip up a feast of nigiri sushi and tamago sushi at home!
