Restaurant Details
Founded in 1953, Hakata Ajidokoro Iroha Umeda proudly brings the timeless flavours of Hakata to Osaka’s city centre. This long-established restaurant continues to honour Kyushu’s rich culinary traditions through its famed Mizutaki hot pot, A5 Kuroge Wagyu sukiyaki, shabu-shabu, and other exquisite regional dishes. Each bowl is a product of patience and craftsmanship — a reflection of Iroha’s philosophy: “to serve authentic taste and heartfelt hospitality.”
At Iroha, all preparations begin with hand-selected ingredients. The Kyushu-raised jidori chicken is simmered slowly to produce a rich, milky-white broth, abundant in natural collagen and depth of flavour. The A5 Kuroge Wagyu, with its delicate marbling and sweet aroma, is served as sukiyaki or shabu-shabu, ensuring the finest balance of fat and umami. Other Kyushu specialities, including horse sashimi delivered fresh from Kumamoto, further enhance the menu’s variety.
Helmed by Chef Takashi Harada, a master of Japanese cuisine, the restaurant blends tradition with innovation. Every dish is designed not merely for taste, but as a memorable dining experience — one that delights the senses and leaves a lasting impression.
The interior, featuring 40 seats, offers a calm, elegant escape from Umeda’s bustle. With warm wood tones and gentle lighting, it provides a refined yet welcoming setting, ideal for business gatherings, family occasions, or quiet moments of indulgence. At Hakata Ajidokoro Iroha Umeda, guests are invited to experience Hakata’s authentic taste in the heart of Osaka.
