Maison Paul Bocuse
Maison Paul Bocuse
Below are equally premium chefs with much higher acceptance, same caliber, easier to secure.
One of the late greats of French gastronomy is honored in style at the Tokyo branch of his celebrated restaurant group.
Restaurant Details
Paul Bocuse was one of the major names of modern French cuisine — chef to presidents and celebrities at his world-renowned restaurant in Lyon. It was the current head chef of this French cuisine institution who graced chef Toshishige — master of the kitchen at the Tokyo outlet — with his approval.
Toshishige-san does the name of the restaurant proud, serving up authentic French cooking with class. You’ll find classic dishes invented by the late great eponymous chef still on the menu here, such as a truffle soup which was served to the president of France in 1975. What’s more, the ingredients are the same too — the majority of them shipped from France, with some local pieces to supplement.
The interior is equally authentic, with an understated grandeur making for a comfortable but classy atmosphere. Oenophiles will want to spend a while poring over the wine menu, as the sommelier here has raided some of the best producers and cellars in France to curate an impressive range.
