Warayakiya Shinjuku

This izakaya specializes in the dishes of Tosa in Kochi Prefecture, collecting the best of the sea, mountains, and rivers of the area. It’s a classic izakaya space with a lively atmosphere in the evenings. They specialize in a very traditional style of Japanese cooking: straw grilling. This kind of grill creates huge, leaping flames which cook dishes at very high temperatures for a short time. The bonito prepared in this fashion is something of a signature dish. Alongside that, they also offer a wide range of fish, meat, noodles and more. Sake from the region is also served, alongside a full menu of beers and other drinks.
