This was such a fantastic evening! The staff were all super lovely and easy to chat to, and the facts we learned about rice were interesting and in some cases, blew us away a bit! The onigiri were fun to make, and the tasting presentation for the amazake and wagashi was just beautiful. Who knew there could be so much variation in flavour and texture! Browsing the wares afterwards it was difficult not to buy one of everything. We had such a lovely time, we hope to visit again on our next trip to Japan. 5/5 easily.

We were absolutely refreshed after Onigiri making/ Amaze Tasting at Cafe Kome Dreaming. Our instructor and the staff kindly welcomed us in after a long day of travel and we left feeling fully satisfied and impressed with the experience. The onigiri was filling and delicious and we were able to try many different types of seasonings. They were all very patient with us even though we spoke little Japanese and we ended up laughing a lot. The instructor was knowledgable about rice, its functions and its important role in Japanese culture and history and graciously answered every question we had. The Amazake Tasting was also beautifully presented and a very unique experience for us. We were able to taste their full menu and found each flavor independently delicious. We also were able to find quality souvenirs for all our family and friends while we were there from the variety of rice related goods that they had. They even had skin care! We look forward to visiting Cafe Kome Dreaming again someday if we're ever back in Tokyo :)
