Tokyo Pescetarian Tea Ceremony

It was a fabulous experience, and definitely worth the price. The meal was artistically prepared and presented, and the server accommodated my dietary requests with substitutions once I saw the menu. The lady who performed and instructed the tea ceremony was very sweet; I can't imagine how many wagashi she has to eat every day! I will recommend to any friends who visit Tokyo.

I had an amazing time. The food, the kimono and the green tea ceremony was fantastic. Ayoko was able to share with us her Japanese culture. She was very knowledgeable. It was a great experience from the beginning to the end.

It was an incredible experience that exceeded expectations, the venue itself, with its rich history and context; the kindness of the person who assisted us in dressing in the beautiful kimono; the tea ceremony master; and the quality of the food (each of the four of us had our own opinion based on personal taste). I only have positive words to describe it, and I would absolutely recommend this experience.

This was one of our favourite experiences from our entire Japan trip! We were very impressed with how much was included as we got to wear a kimono, enjoy a delicious meal, learn to make matcha and have a tour of the gardens. The member of staff who spent the afternoon with us, Mayuko, was very friendly and knowledgable. Thank you Mayuko for such a lovely afternoon :)

Wasn't sure what to expect but this definitely exceeded expectations. The garden is very beautiful and the tea house was lovely. We had a fantastic server that explained everything to us as we went along. The lunch was really well made, beautiful and delicious!

Food was amazing, tea ceremony was incredible and guide was the nicest that I have ever had. 10/10. Would highly recommend.

The tour was amazing, I've really enjoyed the Matcha experience and staff was exceptional. I would recommend this experience to everyone. It's a must while visiting Tokyo

This experience was the first event of our vacation. The hosts' explanations of the tea ceremony were excellent, and the opportunity to make a personal attempt at making tea was most enjoyable. I do recommend using Google Maps to locate the Tea House as it's location is not documented on the overall map of the Museum complex.

I went to Tokyo National Museum experience and I can't express how impressed I was! 5 diamond stars! The tea house is wonderful! The employees were very warm and friendly, they could easily communicate in English. This experience includes everything you must try in Japan. Tea ceremony, japanese food, kimono, japanese gardens. Highly recomment it to everyone.

My experience at TOHAKU Chakan was truly unforgettable! It beautifully blends in to cultural immersion with culinary delight, set against stunning artworks, including reproduced fusuma paintings by Edo-period master Maruyama Okyo as a backdrop in the cafe. The multi-tiered food boxes were exquisite works of art, making me feel deeply immersed in Japanese culture. The serene atmosphere and knowledgeable staff guided us through a calming tea ceremony. Overall, it was a delightful experience that allowed me to appreciate the nuances of matcha and cuisine while connecting with Japan’s rich heritage. I highly recommend this to anyone looking to enhance their visit to the museum!
