Experience Details
Journey to Japan’s top sake-producing region for a tasting and tour of a 270-year-old brewery! You’ll find Kobe Shushinkan Sake Brewery in Kobe’s Nada district—an area renowned for its sake production thanks to its high-quality rice, water, and favorable weather conditions.
Kobe Shushinkan Sake Brewery was founded in 1751 during Japan’s Edo period but was later destroyed in the Great Hanshin Earthquake. After an extensive recovery period, they rebuilt and reopened to keep the sake-making spirit alive.
During this sake-centric experience, you’ll visit the Kobe Shushinkan Sake Brewery! After a quick introductory video, you’ll embark on a tour of the brewery alongside a brewery staff, looking in on the action from a glass-paneled corridor. Following this, you’ll sip on three types of seasonal and limited-edition sake as your expert host guides you through the tasting experience and flavor notes. If you’d like to take home some sake souvenirs, you’ll have time to shop directly from the Kobe Shushinkan warehouse and have access to limited-edition sake and local specialties.
If you’d like to get further behind the scenes, select our 2-hour sake lovers’ plan for an exclusive look behind the scenes of the Kobe Shushinkan Sake Brewery—something that’s usually off-limits to the public.
