Experience Details

Step into the heart of Japanese food culture with this immersive workshop combining sake tasting, cooking, and cultural insights.

Begin in a modern kitchen studio in central Tokyo, where a sake expert introduces you to the world of Japanese sake. Learn what makes sake unique, watch a short video on its production, and explore the different types, serving temperatures, and vessels traditionally used.

Discover how sake changes with temperature by tasting the same sake chilled, at room temperature, and warm. Each pour is paired with a Japanese snack to highlight the harmony of flavors. You can also explore how the shape and material of a sake cup subtly affect the experience.

Next, prepare Japan’s most beloved comfort food, sukiyaki. Learn about its cultural background and the differences between Osaka and Tokyo styles. Using premium Wagyu beef and seasonal vegetables, cook your own authentic sukiyaki under guidance.

While the dish simmers, watch a professional washoku chef demonstrate Japanese vegetable carving, adding a touch of artistry to the meal.

Finally, sit down to enjoy your homemade sukiyaki with two specially selected premium sakes from a Tokyo brewery, chosen to complement the dish's rich flavors.

This guided pairing shows how sake elevates the dining experience.

The workshop blends hands-on cooking, sake education, tasting, and cultural performance for a memorable journey into Tokyo’s culinary traditions.

Now with sakura-themed refreshments and dessert included!
