Experience Details
Tempura may look simple, but achieving that light, crispy texture takes care and technique.
In this class, you’ll step into a real Japanese home and see how everyday cooking is enjoyed in a warm, relaxed setting.
Your host, Miyuki, is a certified food coordinator with nearly 10 years of experience teaching both Japanese and international guests. She shares practical tips that reflect how dishes are actually prepared at home.
Born in Ishikawa, a region known for its traditional tableware, Miyuki thoughtfully pairs each dish with carefully selected plates and bowls. This adds a visual element to the meal and offers a deeper look into Japanese dining culture.
The class is beginner-friendly and easy to follow. You’ll prepare tempura together along with miso soup, dashimaki omelet, and a seasonal side dish, taking part in key steps along the way.
After cooking, enjoy your meal in a cozy and welcoming space. You’ll also be introduced to simple dining customs, such as saying “itadakimasu” and basic table manners, in a natural and approachable way.
There’s time to chat with Miyuki about Japanese culture, local recommendations, or daily life, or simply relax and enjoy your meal at your own pace.
This experience offers more than cooking. It’s a chance to connect with everyday life in Japan through food.
