Experience Details
Ever wondered what it's like to be a professional ramen chef in Tokyo? Here’s your chance to find out! Become a ramen-making expert at a professional cooking studio in the heart of Tokyo. Your teacher is Yoshi Shishido, who has worked in renowned ramen restaurants across Tokyo and even owned a successful ramen joint in Sydney (Australia). This cooking class will teach you how to make authentic tonkotsu chicken ramen and gyoza from scratch! You’ll create the perfect broth, prepare the toppings, boil then drain the noodles using a boiling noodle pot for professional use, and make perfect, pillowy gyoza.
Yoshi Shishido is a professionally trained ramen chef and restaurant owner from Tokyo. He has worked at renowned restaurants in Tokyo and even owned his own place in Sydney (Australia). Shishido-san has dedicated his life to the art of ramen and takes great pride in his technique and own signature style, which you’ll get to witness and learn. The coolest part? You’ll be learning how to make ramen at a professional cooking studio in Tokyo! But, unlike in real restaurant kitchens, children's safety measures are in place, making this class perfectly family-friendly.
This experience will begin after a class introduction and a ramen history lesson. You’ll make tonkotsu chicken ramen – preparing the broth and toppings, making the noodles from scratch, boiling and draining them, and assembling the dish – then make 5 crispy gyoza from scratch. Following the cooking component of the class, you’ll get to dig in and enjoy your handmade meal alongside Yoshi Shishido.
