Experience Details
Discover a different side of Japanese sushi in this vegan cooking class, where fresh vegetables and traditional ingredients take center stage. Using only plant-based ingredients, you’ll learn how to create colorful, satisfying sushi without any animal products.
You can choose from two vegan sushi menus, both of which are also gluten-free. The first option is vegan temari zushi, featuring bite-sized hand-formed sushi topped with a variety of vegetables alongside maki-zushi, classic sushi rolls wrapped in nori seaweed.
The second option is vegan chirashi zushi, a vibrant rice bowl topped with avocado, lotus root, nori, carrots, shiitake mushrooms, and ginger.
As you prepare your chosen sushi dish, you’ll learn techniques for creating balanced flavors and attractive presentations using simple, wholesome ingredients. The result is a colorful, flavorful dish that showcases the versatility of Japanese cuisine.
Both menu options include miso soup. While traditional miso soup is often made with fish-based dashi, this class introduces a plant-based alternative using traditional Japanese ingredients.
You’ll learn how to prepare a flavorful vegan dashi that complements your sushi meal.
Guests can choose between vegan temari zushi or vegan chirashi zushi, both served with homemade miso soup.
