Yoko was a very friendly and warm instructor. She is passionate about Japanese culture and food, and we enjoyed conversing with her and learning more how the history and culture of Japan affected its food. I highly recommend Yoko as she truly brings the authentic Japanese experience to the cooking class.

The class was a mixture of side dishes and sushi and was varied in what we were doing. Everything was prepared so that the class ran smoothly. Toshie was knowledgeable and kind. Pictures and videos were taken of me throughout so I can remember the experience and the techniques of preparing sushi. I was able to take home the recipes and Toshie kindly said that I could reach out to her in the future if I needed help with the recipes. 10/10 would recommend this class to anyone looking for an authentic Japanese cooking experience with an approachable, friendly and well-informed teacher.

What Makes Vegan Tamagoyaki Unique?

The traditional preparation of tamagoyaki involves eggs whisked with dashi, sugar, and soy sauce before being expertly rolled into thin layers. However, vegan tamagoyaki cleverly substitutes eggs with a combination of chickpea flour, tofu, or other plant-based ingredients to mimic the fluffy texture and rich flavor of the original. This innovative take not only maintains the beloved taste profile but also aligns with vegan dietary preferences, making it accessible for everyone. The use of authentic seasonings like soy sauce, mirin, and a touch of sugar ensures that the essence of tamagoyaki remains intact, offering a satisfying balance of flavors that delight the palate.

Experience the Best Vegan Tamagoyaki in Japan

Japan offers a plethora of food experiences where you can taste or even learn to make vegan tamagoyaki. Many establishments have embraced plant-based diets, expanding their menus to include vegan-friendly options that reflect both creativity and tradition.
