The exterior of this Hiroshima restaurant will make you feel like you’ve stepped into historic Kyoto, which is where the owner-chef perfected his craft over the course of a ten-year apprenticeship. His cooking honors the seasonal sensitivity of traditional Kyoto cuisine, but serves it in the more relaxed kappo style.
The menu at this Michelin-ranked restaurant is strictly omakase (chef’s choice). Over the course of several hours, you’ll be served dish after dish, along with glasses of nihonshu. In summer, they specialize in sweetfish caught from the rich rivers around the Hiroshima area.
