Cooking with Michiko was so much fun! We loved making ramen from scratch, as well as learning how to make the broth and prepare the pork belly. Additionally we prepared our own gyoza, it was great. I am a vegetarian and Michiko managed to adapt everything for me, while maintaining the Tonkatsu Ramen for the rest of my family. To make it just perfect, the end result was delicious! My family would definitely recommend the cooking experience with Michiko, and we are looking forward to trying the recipes at home again!

Overall great experience, I did it solo and it was a delightful one on one (and a translator) course. I took the class on Christmas and it was a delightful way to enjoy a holiday lunch. You make cute and simple sushi that you can then recreate at home paired with a fresh and crispy tempura medley. A simple and enjoyable learning experience for 2 Japanese classics.

The hosts were very welcoming and prepared all the ingredients firsthand, and while the chef explained the steps in Japanese, the assistant spoke good English and translated everything, making it easy to follow along with all the instructions. The explanations were clear and thorough, ensuring that even those with little cooking experience could feel confident in preparing the dish. I learned how to make the perfect omurice, from the flavorful fried rice to the smooth, delicate omelette. The highlight, of course, was the food at the end — it was absolutely delicious! The flavors were spot-on, and the whole process was both fun and educational. Highly recommend this class to anyone looking to try their hand at Japanese cooking!
