My partner and I had a wonderful experience with Chef Saisho. He is a very kind and gracious host, and our dining experience with him was everything we could have wanted! He proved to be very knowledgeable as he guided us through the market. He asked our opinions on the fresh seafood available and picked up an assortment of ingredients to prepare for our lunch, as well as helped translate questions we had for different vendors. We walked to his restaurant from the market and he began preparing a delicious omakase lunch for us while entertaining our questions and telling us stories. We also had an opportunity to learn from Chef Saisho how to form nigiri sushi and practice ourselves. The food was excellent and our experience with Chef Saisho was a highlight of our recent trip to Japan. Thank you Chef!!

Our morning with Chef Saisho was one of the highlights of our two week trip to Japan. Couldn't have asked for a better experience. Even my 15-year-old son was finally convinced to eat proper sashimi and nigiri following Saisho-san's gentle lead. Highly recommended. My only regret was not being able to return to his restaurant for an omakase evening.

Tremendous experience in Tokyo! Authentic opportunity to enjoy the famous fish market with a local chef. Chat with various vendors and learn about what chefs look for when making their purchases. Nobu shops while we learn and then takes you back to his tiny restaurant and prepares what he just bought - the freshest sushi you’ll ever eat!! Do not miss!!

Chef Saisho is really interesting, he has a lot of info for you regarding the market, the products, the types of fish, he takes a tour of the entire market and also gives you tips regarding where to buy cheaper souvenirs. After this 1 hour walk, you leave to his restaurant where you learn how to make your own sushi and the fun continues. Sushi making experience is a thing that you should really consider doing while in Japan.

We loved this tour! First, we went to Tsukiji with Chef Saisho to buy the ingredients used for lunch and visited several spice and souvenir shops recommended by the chef. Then we went to his restaurant for lunch and learned how to make nigiri. It was definitely one of the most delicious experiences of our trip, we ate a variety of fresh fish and seafood! Arigatou gozaimasu, Chef Saisho!

My 13-year-old son and I had an absolutely wonderful experience with Chef Saisho, visiting the Tsukiji Market and learning to make sushi! Chef Saisho was friendly and kind, his English was excellent, and he shared so much interesting information about Japan, sushi-making, the different kinds of fish and other seafood we were eating, and his own personal history of being a sushi chef. The sushi that he made for us was BY FAR the best that we've had in Japan (and we'd already had some excellent sushi!) and we were able to try different kinds of sushi that we hadn't tried before. He was also an excellent and patient teacher when he taught us to make the sushi ourselves! My son was very proud and excited about the sushi that he made. This was an absolute highlight of our trip to Japan and I would recommend it to anyone!

We had an exceptional day! I feel like we were able to experience the market in the best way with the behind the scenes that we otherwise would have missed! The meal at the end was incredible as was the opportunity to learn how to make some pieces ourselves. Chef also called and made us a reservation for a wonderful steak dinner when we mentioned we were looking for places to try. Overall a 10/10 experience, would recommend!

We booked a private tour with my family and had a wonderful time! We toured the market and had a chance to pick up a couple of unique items to bring home and we went to his shop to eat amazing sushi and learn how to make it at the end. The tour was worth the money and we had a great time with our Chef! Intimate and unique experience that was much better than a larger sushi class in Tokyo.
