Experience Details
Curious about Japanese sake but not sure where to begin? This guided tasting in Shibuya offers a relaxed, approachable way to explore Japan’s national drink with confidence.
Led by certified sake sommelier Yusuke, the experience takes place at a modern sake bar just a short walk from Shibuya Station, right in the heart of Tokyo.
After meeting Yusuke at Kubota Sake Bar, the experience begins with a friendly introduction to the history and culture of sake. Yusuke breaks things down in a clear, engaging way, making the world of sake easy to understand even for first-time drinkers. You will learn how sake is made, what influences its flavor, and how to read labels with confidence.
From there, the tasting begins. Sample a wide range of sake with different aromas, textures, and fermentation styles as you discover what suits your palate. Once you find flavors you enjoy, you can take full advantage of the unlimited tasting, choosing freely from more than 60 bottles available at the bar.
Throughout the experience, Yusuke encourages questions and conversation. With a background promoting sake and shochu for the Japanese government and experience judging major sake awards, he brings deep knowledge paired with genuine enthusiasm. His goal is simple. To help guests enjoy sake without intimidation and leave with a better understanding of what they like.
The experience is held entirely at Kubota Sake Bar. This stylish venue uses modern technology to make sake more accessible. After the tasting, guests are welcome to browse the shop and purchase bottles to enjoy later or take home at the end of their trip.
Whether you are traveling solo, meeting new people, or spending the evening with friends, this all-you-can-drink sake tasting offers a warm, social atmosphere and a memorable night out in Tokyo.
