This was a great experience, and our group would highly recommend to anyone looking for a view into the family life/style of a Kyrgyz Family. Our hosts were very kind and welcoming, and they were flexible shifting time back a bit due to car trouble on our end. My husband & I truly enjoyed our Kyrgyz family dinner. The family was very warm and welcoming and made us feel like they were honoring us for joining them. The meal was superb with many ingredients from their own garden and fruit trees! We had discussions surrounding every day lives & customs as well as personal experiences & politics. It’s been our best experience to date in Bishkek. Talgat, if you or your family visit the U.S. you will be welcome to visit us in Arizona.
We were picked up right at our hotel and taken to have dinner with a family of five. The home cooked meal with four courses was wonderful. The best part was very engaging family. Discussions varied from sharing basic information to family life to political views. Even a gift was shared at the end of the evening. Our expectations were exceded.
