Experience Details
Experience the best of Osaka on a barrier-free, private tour for wheelchair users! You’ll see the top highlights including Osaka Castle, Kuromon Fish Market, Dotonbori, Shinsaibashi, and take in the city views from the Umeda Sky Building.
The tour begins at your hotel and proceeds to Osaka Castle, built in 1583 by Hideyoshi Toyotomi–a renowned Japanese daimyo (feudal lord) and military leader in the late 16th century. He played a crucial role in unifying Japan during a period of political turmoil known as the Sengoku period. It now houses a museum showcasing Japan's past, surrounded by impressive stone walls, architectural features, and a vast moat.
Accessibility: An exterior elevator has been added to provide access to the castle. Upon purchasing your ticket, a staff member will escort you to the elevator exclusive to designated visitors (information courtesy of Accessible Japan).
Following Osaka Castle, explore the lively Kuromon Market, a century-old fresh food market boasting around 180 stalls offering a wide range of seafood, fruits, and more. Afterward, continue to the famous Dotonbori district and get in front of the camera for a commemorative photoshoot. Enjoy lunch at an accessible and inviting restaurant in Dotonbori.
Post-lunch, venture to Osaka's Shinsaibashi shopping street, an ideal place for a shopping spree. The tour then takes you to the Kita (Umeda) area via subway, concluding at the renowned Umeda Sky Building. This architectural marvel ascends 170 meters high, culminating at the Floating Garden Observatory. Here, you can revel in panoramic (indoor and outdoor) views of Osaka and beyond, all the way to Awaji Island.
