The name “Cattlewash” harks back to its historical use, where farmers would bring their cattle to the beach to be washed by the crashing waves. While swimming in the open water is not recommended due to strong currents, the beach features natural rock pools that are safe for bathing. It’s an ideal location for a relaxing beach walk, sunbathing, or a quiet picnic under the Casuarina trees. The scenic drive to Cattlewash itself is a treat, showcasing the dramatic landscapes of Barbados’ east coast.

Foursquare Rum Distillery
