Shinjuku Golden Gai was born during Japan's post-war reconstruction.
For decades, the Golden Gai Commercial Cooperative Association has preserved its unique streetscape, culture, and history.
Today, nearly 280 bars and eateries line its narrow alleys, making it one of Japan's most iconic nightlife districts.
Bar comorebi is a cozy bar in the heart of Golden Gai, where guests can enjoy authentic drinks and warm Japanese hospitality.
Inspired by the idea of bringing people together like sunlight filtering through the trees, we welcome visitors from around the world and strive to make everyone feel at home.
Start your experience with a peaceful walk through Hanazono Shrine, then explore the nostalgic streets of Golden Gai before arriving at Bar comorebi.
This experience gives you exclusive daytime access to Bar comorebi, a popular bar in Golden Gai.
Relax in a private setting and enjoy authentic Japanese whisky.
Feel free to request your favorite music during your visit.
Japanese whisky is now highly sought after around the world and can be difficult to find.
Enjoy carefully selected whiskies paired with Japanese snacks.
To finish your experience, you'll also be served rice balls (onigiri) and homemade miso soup with chicken and vegetables.

- Please note that the minimum drinking age in Japan is 20 years old, so all participants in this tour must be over 20 years old
- The bar is located on the second floor of the building
- Please note that the bartender does not speak English fluently but will have a co-host to assist with English-language interpreting
