In this tour, you’ll learn about Hiroshima’s peace initiatives and witness its incredible postwar reconstruction as you cycle through the city, exploring its landmarks, like the Hiroshima Castle and the Peace Park. You’ll hear insights and stories from your local guide about Hiroshima's history and rebuilding, and you’ll finish the day with the city’s signature dish: a sizzling Hiroshima-yaki, the city’s unique take on a Japanese okonomiyaki savory pancake. Itinerary: -Meet your guide at the Hiroshima Gate Park, only a bus ride from Hiroshima Station. -Stop by a modern bakery in the park for a quick snack before cycling (the tour fee includes one pastry). -Enjoy a 2-hour bike tour, where you’ll cycle through some of Hiroshima’s most symbolic landmarks, like the Peace Park and the Hiroshima Castle, as you listen to the stories behind the postwar reconstruction of Hiroshima from your guide. -Wind down with a delicious dinner of Hiroshima-yaki (Hiroshima-style okonomiyaki) at a local restaurant.
