Experience Details

Discover the magic of Mt. Fuji’s finest sake at a legendary brewery in Fujinomiya.

Founded in 1830, this historic brewery has been crafting exceptional sake for nearly two centuries.

Its secret? Crystal-clear water drawn from 30 meters underground and the finest local Fujinomiya rice. Every bottle tells a story of tradition, passion, and the spirit of the mountain.

Your private tour is guided by a skilled brewery artisan (kurabito) who knows every step of the sake-making process. You’ll watch rice transform into premium junmaiginshu sake and learn how unique umeshu flavors come to life with local plums and Shizuoka tea. The process is fascinating, hands-on, and sprinkled with the kind of little secrets only a kurabito can share.

Then comes the best part: tasting. Sip your way through daiginjo, nama genshu, yuzushu, and special umeshu blends. Each sip is a taste of history and craftsmanship, and your guide makes every flavor memorable with stories, tips, and friendliness. Essentially, it’s education that feels like a party for your palate.

To boot, every guest leaves with a keepsake that captures the experience. You’ll receive a decorative mini taru sake barrel and a traditional maekake (apron) to take home. It is the perfect reminder of a day spent laughing, learning, and sipping your way through Japanese tradition.

Meet the artisans, taste the treasures, and leave with memories that sparkle as much as your sake glass.
