Oshokujidokoro Hiramatsu

One restaurant which represents the city in style is Oshokujidokoro Hiramatsu, a kaiseki restaurant next to Oita Funai Park. Here you can enjoy an omakase meal featuring generous amounts of chargrilled meat, vegetables, and seafood, all prepared with premium Binchotan charcoal. Also worth trying are their fantastic rice bowls, some in chazuke style with hot broth or tea poured over the top.
