This Michelin-starred French restaurant is located near Kachigawa — a little northeast of the Nagoya city center area, but quickly accessible from downtown in around 20 minutes.

The trip is well worth it for the Michelin-starred food on offer. Chef Yamamoto mans the kitchen, having honed his skills for years at a top restaurant in Hakone. His specialty is bouillabaisse, served cold in summer to counteract the stifling Japanese heat and humidity.

Guests will find plenty of French classics on the menu, such as a roast fillet of beef with fried onions and mushrooms. The wine list is, as you might expect, quite long. In fact, the cellar is stocked with over 120 bottles. Perhaps the greatest draw, however, is the incredible price of the lunch courses. Guests can experience fine French dining for under ¥10,000 — an absolute steal.
