Down an alleyway to the east of Shinagawa Station sits the aptly named restaurant Rojura (translating to “alley”). This local favorite has been an indispensable part of the local eating and drinking scene from thousands of locals over the past 30 years.
The dish that keeps people coming back is the spicy and tender beef stew, with meat cooked for a long period of time to make it fall apart beautifully. They also offer other izakaya favorites such as grilled skewers, alongside a great range of alcohol.
All of this can be enjoyed on very reasonable course menus available all-you-can-drink added on top. If that doesn’t sound like a perfect evening out, I don’t know what does.
