Yakiniku
Setting a new bar for Omotesando's luxury dining, Yainiku Seira serves the finest Japanese Black beef over binchotan charcoal in a spectacular dining space swathed in marble.
Restaurant Details
If first impressions matter, Yakiniku Seira wows. The restaurant's ivory-clad facade fits right in among rows of fashion houses lining Omotesando's street.
Step through the white noren, and guests will notice the towering marble slabs stretched across the walls, their gleaming surfaces strikingly offset by hexagonal lattice partitions. Tabletops are cut from single oaks. Even the tableware is a statement, featuring Arita blue-and-white porcelain from Saga Prefecture and Icheon celadon from Korea, personally curated by the owner. The ambiance offers a clear invitation: dress sharply.
Delivering a high-dining concept to yakiniku, at the core of Yakiniku Seira lies a dedication to serving the finest Japanese Black beef, or kuroge wagyu, the most tender type of wagyu from the four acknowledged breeds.
The evening unfolds with a simmered wagyu dish or a decadent yukhoe. After that, the beef’s versatility takes center stage. Chawanmushi, a silky Japanese egg custard, is elevated with beef tail, while yakisuki — grilled sukiyaki — is served with egg yolk and rice. For a more traditional touch, aitchbone and short ribs are marinated in tare sauce, while the fillet is simply seasoned with salt. Grilled amiyaki-style over binchotan charcoal, the method seals in natural flavors with unmatched precision.
Beyond the realm of meat, diners can indulge in luxurious touches like foie gras nestled in chawanmushi, or caviar paired with scallops, sea urchin and beef. Yakiniku Seira is perfect for romantic evenings or celebratory moments. This is power dining at its peak.
