Huge thanks to Kaori for hosting us at her wagashi school. We learnt how to make Dango, strawberry 🍓 Daifuku and wagashi. Also had them with matcha the traditional way and hojicha tea after. She was really patient with us and we were there for 3 hrs. It was a fun activity to do with my 12yr old daughter and she thoroughly enjoyed it. Kaori also shared she does kids classes and will be teaching onigiris next. She gifted us tea and calligraphy and we could take home leftovers after the class. Can't wait to be back on our next trip. Her plc is not far from Mitaka station and is near Ghibli museum so def worth a trip if u r in the area.

My husband and I absolutely loved the mochi making class. Our teacher was very informative, patient, and friendly. We were impressed with how our mochi turned out and look forward to booking a similar class on a future visit to Japan.

Where to start with the praises for the fantastic class Yuko hosted!! We are a family of three (with a chatty and restless 6 year old) from Australia. Yuko was very patient and went above and beyond what I expected in the booking. I now have a new favourite wagashi, thanks to Yuko! The class kept my daughter busy, and the view out the window was so lovely. If you go in March/April the view will be filled with Cherry Blossoms. We were there in Winter (December), while many trees were bare, we could see maples and the children play across the canal. Yuko's English is very good and her lovely husband, Michael, came down to greet us with an Aussie hello. Thank you for this wonderful experience, Yuko! We would love to come back again when the cherry blossoms are blooming. Highly recommend!
