I had the absolute pleasure of attending the fermentation class today! It was incredibly eye-opening to see how knowledge of miso and other traditional elements can be beautifully applied to everyday cooking. This is the best class for anyone who loves cooking. It is also a new and fun class for those who don't like cooking. Also, this cafe, which hosts this tour, is very friendly and caring to everyone. It has various souvenirs made with kome rice, and it is a very nice cafe that is eco-friendly. I will try to make onigiri in the way they taught me. If you go to Tokyo, Japan, you should definitely take this class. Not only will you have fun, you can also eat your own delicious onigiri. この店最高 :)

My cooking lesson with Yuka was perfect! She was very organized, her instructions were very clear, and time was well managed. The food I learned to make was delicious and easy enough that I feel confident I can make it again when I return home, and no now I have the recipes she gave me to help. I’m very happy with my experience.

I had a fantastic time with Aki and Michi! We cooked amazing food and they had a lot of info about the different ingredients and techniques. They modified the meal to fit my dietary needs. They were both incredibly friendly and welcoming. I would absolutely recommend this experience to anyone!

This was a fantastic experience. Kotomi and Yoshi were such cool and friendly people and really made the time special. Not only do you learn about onigiri but you also understand more about the importance of rice and it's uses in Japan... and of course everything was delicious. ほんとに楽しかったですありがとうございました!すべておいしかった!

This was such a fantastic evening! The staff were all super lovely and easy to chat to, and the facts we learned about rice were interesting and in some cases, blew us away a bit! The onigiri were fun to make, and the tasting presentation for the amazake and wagashi was just beautiful. Who knew there could be so much variation in flavour and texture! Browsing the wares afterwards it was difficult not to buy one of everything. We had such a lovely time, we hope to visit again on our next trip to Japan. 5/5 easily.

Very knowledgeable and kind guides. The kitchen was easy to find from the station. The food was amazing and allowed for me to understand the basics in a Japanese kitchen setting. I’ve made the salmon from the recipes almost every night since I’ve been home. Japanese food is easy to make and healthy! I’m very excited this type of activity was available!
