We recently did a sushi-making class here as a work team-building activity, and it was such a fantastic experience. The restaurant’s incredible history and traditional atmosphere made the whole event feel really special.
The staff were welcoming, patient, and made the class both fun and informative, even for complete beginners. We learned a lot about sushi preparation, ingredients, and technique while also enjoying plenty of laughs as a team.
The sushi itself was absolutely delicious and incredibly fresh. It was the perfect balance of hands-on activity, cultural experience, and amazing food. Highly recommend for corporate team events or anyone looking for a unique experience in a beautiful historic setting.

Great experience learning about cooking Tempura & prepping the vegetables. Nice small class so felt very one to one.

We had a great time with chef Ono. The whole family really enjoyed this sushi-making class. Onosan is a really good teacher and did his best to give explanations in English. We got to eat our own sushi at the end. Oishikatta!

I had such an amazing experience at this sushi-making class in Tokyo! I went with my boyfriend, and we honestly had the best time. The hosts were incredibly kind, welcoming, and funny: they made us feel comfortable from the very beginning.
The whole experience was not only fun but also really engaging. We learned a lot while laughing and enjoying every moment. It turned into such a special lunch, far beyond what we expected.
And of course, the sushi was absolutely delicious, everything we made was fresh, flavorful, and so satisfying. It was truly one of the highlights of our trip. I would highly recommend this class to anyone visiting Tokyo!

Our cooking class and tea ceremony with chef Katuzi was amazing. He was very professional and entertaining. We learnt some great skills in sushi making and made great ramen. All Ingredients were fresh Chef”s assistant Kumiko was very friendly and helpful. She took photos throughout the class and then sent them to us before we left. The calligraphy gift was a special touch.
The cooking class was one of the highlights of our Japan trip.
We would strongly recommend.

We had the best time with Akemi and Dan. Anyone wanting to learn how to make sushi, and the art behind it should sign up to this fabulous evening. Akemi is amazingly patient and is a master at clear explanations. Our daughter who is a vegetarian was catered for perfectly. As a family we had the best time. Thanks again Akemi and Dan for your hospitality.
