Experience Details

This hands-on team-building experience is perfect for large groups in Tokyo! Large groups will meet at a cooking studio in Tokyo to face off in teams through a cooking competition! This fun team-building experience will allow team members not only to learn about how to cook Japanese food, but experience a lesson in cooperation, communication, leadership, teamwork, and understanding diversity.


Teams will receive an in-depth lecture and demonstration from an English-speaking instructor (or with an interpreter) on how to cook 2-3 traditional Japanese dishes. Teams can choose from a range of Japanese dishes listed on the menu, and they will work together to create dishes collaboratively. See different package options available.


After learning how to cook the different Japanese food dishes with their instructor's lecture, teams will battle it out to make the best dishes of all! Working together, teams must cook the dishes and will be judged at the end on their cooking skills, presentation, creativity, teamwork, and more. After the cooking competitions, teams will have the opportunity to present their dishes and showcase their skills and techniques, arrangement of dishes, etc.


Once the competition is over, teams will eat their meals together. This eating time is also a time to reflect on what they have learned. Participants can take a moment to consider the positive impact of the team-building experience on their teams while eating a delicious home-cooked meal!
