Experience Details
Step into a cozy Nagoya home filled with the smell of simmering broth and the warmth of shared meals.
Your host will welcome you with a cup of Japanese tea, which sets a relaxed, friendly tone for the cooking session.
Raised in Kanagawa and now living in Nagoya, your host learned how home-cooked meals bring people together. This spirit shapes every class, where conversation flows as easily as the cooking. Having shared Japanese dishes with friends abroad, the host now welcomes guests from around the world with care and warmth.
In this hands-on session, you will make tonkotsu ramen from scratch. Simmer pork bones into a rich, creamy broth full of umami. Knead and shape the dough into noodles, watch the texture transform, and prepare tender chashu pork. Finish by assembling ajitama eggs with soft, savory centers.
As the kitchen fills with the aroma of simmering broth, your host will introduce key Japanese ingredients like miso, mirin, soy sauce, and sake, explaining how each adds flavor and balance. Clear English guidance is provided throughout.
When the ramen is ready, enjoy the warm, rich bowl you made yourself. The flavors, aromas, and the joy of making it by hand make the moment special.
This class is as much about sharing food and stories as it is about cooking.
