Experience Details

Located in the heart of Namba, this hands-on sushi-making class is an easy and enjoyable way to experience Japanese food culture in short term.

With friendly, English-speaking instructors, the class will start with a simple introduction to sushi and its place in Japanese cuisine, preparing you for what you will make and taste.

After learning the basics, you will move into the kitchen to focus on one of the most important elements of sushi: perfectly seasoned rice. With clear guidance from your instructor, you will then start shaping temari sushi, small, round pieces topped with fresh fish, vegetables, and egg.

The process is relaxed and interactive, making it easy to enjoy while picking up techniques you can use again at home.

Once your sushi is complete, sit down and enjoy what you have made. Eating your own creations is a satisfying part of the experience, and guests may also have the chance to try Japanese sake with the meal.

The class is consistently rated highly by travelers and strikes a balance between learning, creativity, and enjoyment. The experience lasts approximately 90 minutes and includes an introduction, hands-on sushi making, and time to enjoy your finished dishes.

Guests can choose between a standard course with eight pieces of sushi or a premium course with ten pieces.
