We had a great time with Ayumi, starting with a brief tour of the temple and then a walking tour of the market, where we got to visit several food stalls and sample a variety of fresh fish and other delicacies. Ayumi shared her knowledge of local foods and also gave us tips about different restaurants to try. We enjoyed chatting with her at John Lennon’s favorite coffee shop inside the market. We also enjoyed our time with a sushi chef, who showed us his knife skills and how to assemble our own fish and rice bowl. .It was great to have an expert guide us around the crowded market and make the experience so educational as well as fun.

Amazing tour with Aki and his assistant, Kiki. We were stuffed by the end of the trip with food and drinks!! I would definitely book again. Aki is so knowledgeable about the restaurant scene in Tokyo. The tour also incorporates foods popular with locals which make it a more fun and authentic experience! We learned about and enjoyed a lot of Japanese food. Highly recommend!

This is a great tour if you want to see the authentic nightlife situation in Kabukicho & Golden Gai. We went to a busy izakaya for some yakitori, then we went to a sake bar for a tasting of 8 different sake, and then a very authentic karaoke bar. Together with the walk through the busy streets of the neighborhood we definitely got to see a side of Tokyo nightlife that we would not have seen on our own.
