Authentic Japanese Sushi Cooking Class in Kyoto

My sisters and myself had a wonderful time at the Tokyo Ramen-Making Masterclass with Amo and Yoshi. The host clearly exceeded our expectations as we learned to prepare a complete ramen meal with gyozas from the scratch. Our experience started as Amo met us at the meeting point at Ekoda Station (we recommend contacting them directly on WhatsApp to ease everything). We then walked (10 minutes) to their flat where everything was prepared. Amo and Yoshi introduced themselves and offered us a welcome drink. We then started right away cutting vegetables, preparing the noodles and gyozas from the scratch with all the necessary and interesting explanations. After having successfully prepared all the ingredients, each one of us was able to put together their own Ramen Bowl. We then had a moment for ourselves to enjoy the excellent meal while our host cleaned the kitchen. During the whole experience Amo and Yoshi were extremely friendly and thoughtful. We would like to thank them one more time for the amazing experience which we definitely recommend to anybody who spends a few days in Tokyo. Mike

Emi is awesome, we learned how to make local sushi as well as some more common one, the nuances on how to prep the rice and some useful tips. We had a personal issue and she was understanding and flexible. We shared a lot between our cultures and I will recommend her to our friends visiting Japan

Tokyo Home Kitchen: Sushi-Making Class

It was super fun! The class was easy enough to not feel intimidated. The teacher spoke enough English to give us clear instructions. I made the ramen and my child made the parfait. If you mess up on the parfait, the teacher can help you correct the design. It was down pouring that afternoon, and the teacher wrapped up our take home packages in plastic bags to make sure nothing got wet - super smart! The downside is the location was hard to find. It was nowhere near tourist areas. Also, the classroom was quite small, so if it was crowded, it would not have been as much fun. Luckily, there were a total of 4 students, so it felt manageable.
