Cairo’s food scene came alive on this tour. We tasted traditional dishes and learned how meals are shared among Egyptians. Street food, small cafés, and local markets, everything was clean, safe, and absolutely delicious.
From the very first stop, our guide made us feel like locals. We started with authentic koshary, a flavorful mix of rice, pasta, lentils, and crispy onions. It was the perfect introduction to Egyptian comfort food. We also tried falafel (taameya), which was so light and crunchy very different from what I’d had elsewhere.
