Experience Details

Step into home chef Sayaka’s kitchen in Fukuoka and learn to make authentic Japanese dishes in a hands-on, personalized cooking class.

Choose four to five dishes from a wide menu and craft a meal that’s completely your own, guided by Sayaka’s expert instruction.

Learn to make fresh udon noodles from scratch, fry chicken for perfectly tender yet crispy karaage, or cook rice the traditional Japanese way in a pot instead of a rice cooker. You can even finish with classic Japanese desserts, such as green tea pudding or mochi, creating a sweet ending to your home-cooked feast.

Guests can select 4-5 items from the standard menu, including steamed buns filled with minced pork (nikuman), udon noodles made from scratch, pork cutlets (tonkatsu), Japanese fried chicken (karaage), ginger pork (shoga-yaki), gyoza dumplings, Japanese-style beef and potato stew (nikujaga), rice cooked in a pot, omurice, age-dashi tofu, savory egg custard (chawan-mushi), and desserts such as yatsuhashi, green tea pudding, warabimochi, or daifuku.

Due to time constraints, Udon and Pork Buns cannot be chosen at the same time.

After the class, you’ll have the option to join Sayaka on a supermarket tour, where she’ll introduce you to Japanese products and share tips for finding hidden culinary gems.

With nearly a decade of experience teaching guests to cook authentic Japanese meals, Sayaka specializes in adapting recipes so you can confidently recreate them at home.
