What a fun night out! If you are staying in Osaka, book this tour! Our guide for the evening was Rudy. He was awesome! Friendly, knowledge and all around fun. Osaka is the kitchen of Japan and the food on this tour is not to be missed. We had delicious drinks as well. May I recommend the tomato sour.

Shizuka's Harajuku tour was so much fun! It was a great mix of yummy treats, entertaining activities, and a lively dinner, which gave us a chance to try making our own okonomiyaki! It is well worth the time to explore Harajuku and learn more about the area through the guidance of the one and only Shizuka Anderson!😊🫶

I couldn't have wished for a better tour, Shizuka-san was amazing as our guide, giving us some wonderful history notes as well as showcasing and teaching us how to cook and prepare okonomiyaki and the other accompanying dishes. Immediately from the start, Shizuka helped break the ice with the whole group inquiring about each of us and letting us introduce ourselves. I must say, I lucked out with a wonderful group of like-minded American friends who added to the experience. I must give added credit to Shizuka for for being so attentive and giving to the whole group, checking if we had any food allergies, etc. and even staying an extra hour later to chat with everyone and share her knowledge of food and other topics and taking pictures with us. All in all, a 10 out 10 experience for food tour lovers that I would highly, highly recommend.

With only a couple of available slots per month, I was fortunate that one of them was during my trip. Exhaustion from taking a 9am bullet train from Osaka back to Tokyo turned to excitement when I got an email reminder from Shizuka two hours before the food tour! From people watching trying to figure out who the other guests were to finally meeting Shizuka and the other guests, this shared experience is certainly one that I will never forget!
