A Michelin Bib Gourmand award recipient, Lien effortlessly creates a bond between chef and diner with its deeply personal French cuisine.
Restaurant Details
From terrines, piping hot stews and seared foie gras, to an impressive selection of French and Japanese drinks, the French fare at Lien is extremely varied. Customers quickly become regulars, coming back over and over again to try every item on Chef Uehara Koichi’s ingenious menus.
Situated in a charming and small residential area on the outskirts of Shibuya, Lien has made a reputation for itself as the go-to French restaurant in Ikejiri-Ohashi, with its intimate, sophisticated interior making it perfect for quiet date nights. The cuisine is nothing to sniff at either, having received a Michelin Bib Gourmand award in the Michelin Guide Tokyo every year since 2017.
Meaning “connections” in French, Lien strives to close the distance between diner and chef, and to share a wholly unique restaurant experience together. To further this idea, Chef Uehara Koichi uses fresh ingredients from his hometown in Aomori, as well as game from Hokkaido, giving a homey, personal touch to his course meals. It’s a beautiful harmony of French cuisine and high-quality Japanese produce.
