The sounds of laughter can be heard floating up the stairs to great customers, and the door opens into a world of exceptional Edomae-style sushi. Endearingly known as "Sanpei-san" by regulars and sushi enthusiasts, Chef Oumi makes sure his establishment is cozy and personable, making every guest feel included. The “omakase”, or “chef's choice” course, features seasonal delicacies and a selection of 10 pieces of traditional Edomae-sushi prepared with three-year-aged red vinegar. Highlights include Chef Oumi’s signature conger eel and egg dish. Many regular patrons return not only for the decadent sushi, but for the warm conversation with Sanpei-san.
