We could not rave about our cooking class with Kaori enough. From the grocery store walk-through, to the ingredients, the knowledge, the technique, the care, the great conversation - it was the perfect day and everything we hoped for, and more. Thank you so much Kaori! Hope to see you again soon!

The class was a mixture of side dishes and sushi and was varied in what we were doing. Everything was prepared so that the class ran smoothly. Toshie was knowledgeable and kind. Pictures and videos were taken of me throughout so I can remember the experience and the techniques of preparing sushi. I was able to take home the recipes and Toshie kindly said that I could reach out to her in the future if I needed help with the recipes. 10/10 would recommend this class to anyone looking for an authentic Japanese cooking experience with an approachable, friendly and well-informed teacher.

This was one of our favorite experiences in Japan! Kaori was a great instructor and it was so fun to talk to her and learn. The food was amazing and we’re excited to get home and make it ourselves! It started at the supermarket and she pointed out all of the ingredients which was very helpful to see what to look for when shopping. Learning how to make sauces and dessert was unexpected, but added to the great experience! Highly recommend this class :)

Each meticulously prepared dish is a testament to the balance of flavors, presentation, and seasonal ingredients well-loved in Japanese cuisine.

For a more casual experience, consider visiting izakayas or specialty seafood restaurants where you can relish an assortment of steamed, grilled, or tempura seafood options. Each restaurant provides its own twist on customary dishes, infusing them with dashi to elevate the natural taste of the seafood. Whether you're enjoying a comforting bowl of soba noodles or indulging in a luscious donburi topped with fresh seafood, these dishes highlight Tokyo's commitment to quality and flavor.
