I had a very enjoyable and educational cooking class at Yuka's home. Everything was explained well, including the background of Shojin Ryori. The visit to the supermarket afterwards was also a real added bonus. Thank you, Yuka, for the wonderful day in your kitchen.

Learning to cook was the objective, Miss Yamakasi made it an unforgettable experience. Connecting and bonding through food and the preparation thereof was everything I'd hoped for. Would happily recommend!

Yuka's class was fantastic! She provided cultural context on shojin ryori traditions which helped bring special meaning to our cooking. I got SO many helpful, practical tips for cooking each element of the meal that I'm so excited to replicate at home. I'm definitely planning on taking more of her classes when I return to Japan in the future.

To get straight to the point, Yuki is a fantastic cooking instructor (also a lovely person) and I would highly recommend her cooking classes to anyone interested in learning to make Japanese cuisine at home! In the ramen/gyoza class we took, Yuki walked us through the elements of the dishes we made and also highlighted what to do for different regional variations. Any questions I had (sometimes before I could ask it) she was able to answer! e.g. the purpose of different ingredients, their alternatives if you can't easily find them outside Japan, how to cook for friends with dietary requirements, etc etc. Quick note: I recommend that you bring your appetite because 1) not only is the food you make so delicious; but 2) there's a lot of it! By the end of the class, my partner and I felt very confident we could easily apply what we had learnt back home and cook for (and impress) ourselves, family and friends. Thanks again Yuki!!

We had such an exceptional experience! A sincere thank you to our host, Kaoru, who thought through every detail end-to-end to ensure a seamless experience. My family and I thoroughly enjoyed every moment of it - not only the fantastic mochi lesson, but most importantly her company and the time she took to explain mochi's significance in the Japanese culture. This made such a great memory for our trip that our family will cherish for a lifetime. We will book another lesson with Kaoru the next time we are in Tokyo for sure. Thank you again! ❤️

This is the best class for anyone who loves cooking. It is also a new and fun class for those who don't like cooking. Also, this cafe, which hosts this tour, is very friendly and caring to everyone. It has various souvenirs made with kome rice, and it is a very nice cafe that is eco-friendly. I will try to make onigiri in the way they taught me. If you go to Tokyo, Japan, you should definitely take this class. Not only will you have fun, you can also eat your own delicious onigiri. この店最高 :)

It was such a great experience getting to meet Yuka-san and learn how to make several different Shojin Ryori dishes. She is a fabulous teacher and the food we made together was absolute delicious. I only hope that I can make several of these dishes by myself and have them taste as delicious as what we made together. If you have any interest in learning to make Japanese vegan/plant based dishes, then I would suggest you definitely take this class from her.

We had a wonderful and truly unique experience at Masaho's sushi class. While eating at a sushi restaurant is great, the sushi we made ourselves tasted even more special. Masaho was incredibly kind and patient throughout the entire class. Not only did she gently guide us through the process, but she also spoke excellent English and taught us about the history of sushi and what everyday life in Japan is like. Instead of being in an office room, we made sushi in an authentic Japanese house. This gave us a wonderful glimpse into the daily life of a Japanese family. From start to finish, we had a fantastic time with Masaho. We would highly recommend this class to anyone visiting Tokyo who wants an authentic Japanese experience.

Discover the Delights of Pescetarian Japanese Tea Classes in Tokyo

If you're planning a trip to Tokyo and have a passion for food and culture, diving into a Pescetarian Japanese Tea class could be the perfect experience for you. Tokyo is renowned for its modern urban landscape that seamlessly merges with rich cultural traditions, and exploring its culinary scene is a must for any visitor. By participating in one of these classes, you'll not only enjoy delicious pescetarian-friendly meals but also immerse yourself in the fine art of Japanese tea, an integral aspect of Japanese heritage.

Pescetarian-Friendly Cuisine in Japanese Style

The pescetarian diet emphasizes seafood while excluding other types of meat, making it both a healthy and sustainable choice. Tokyo, a city with fresh seafood markets and a culinary appreciation for fish, is an ideal place to indulge in pescetarian-friendly cuisine. These classes offer a range of dishes using ingredients such as salmon, mackerel, and a variety of shellfish, paired with vibrant seasonal vegetables. Incorporating these ingredients into classic Japanese preparations, you'll learn how to create delectable dishes that highlight umami and delicate flavors synonymous with Japanese food culture.

Experiencing Japanese Tea in a New Light

No meal in Japan is complete without tea, especially when it resonates with the intricate and calm culture of Tokyo. During these classes, participants not only learn how to prepare various types of Japanese tea such as matcha, sencha, and genmaicha but also understand their cultural significance. The art of tea preparation in Japan is more than just a culinary skill; it's a meditative tradition that embodies the values of harmony, purity, respect, and tranquility. Classes guide you through the step-by-step process of making these teas, focusing on aspects such as temperature, brew time, and serving etiquette, offering you a well-rounded appreciation and skill in this craft.

In conclusion, Tokyo offers a unique opportunity to explore pescetarian cuisine combined with the tranquil art of Japanese tea-making within a cultural classroom setting. These classes are a perfect match for those curious about the fusion of culinary arts and traditional tea practices in Japan. Whether you are a seasoned pescetarian or simply curious about sustainable diets, these experiences promise an enriching encounter with Japanese culinary traditions, leaving you with lasting skills and flavors to savor long after your visit.
