Join us to discover the evolution of the Armenian winemaking journey in the cradle of viticulture!

Our colleague will meet you at the winery, and then you’ll start with a guided tour through winemaking facilities where you'll be informed about the production of wines, the technology, equipment and products. Afterwards, the group will be redirected towards the vineyards where you will immerse deeply in Ararat valley’s millennia-old terroir.

Karas Wines

The winery is located 70 kilometres west of Yerevan. It will bring you to the age-old wine estates of the Armavir region where history, tradition & culture come together. Once there you can enjoy the beautiful vineyards, complete with unique biblical Ararat & Sis mountain views. According to legend, following the great flood, Noah & his descendants planted the first vine of grapes on the foot of Mount Ararat. Your tour includes a cellar tour and a wine tasting paired with cheese, chocolate, and dried fruits or nuts. The wine-making process will also be explained in detail during this visit. The tour begins with an overview of the vineyard & an explanation of the Karas Project, its history, the technology used and all the information regarding the vineyards. You will then enjoy a tour of the reservoirs and greenhouses. Afterwards, you will be redirected towards the winery where you will be informed in detail about the production of wines including the technology, equipment & products.
