We had a wonderful and truly unique experience at Masaho's sushi class. While eating at a sushi restaurant is great, the sushi we made ourselves tasted even more special. Masaho was incredibly kind and patient throughout the entire class. Not only did she gently guide us through the process, but she also spoke excellent English and taught us about the history of sushi and what everyday life in Japan is like. Instead of being in an office room, we made sushi in an authentic Japanese house. This gave us a wonderful glimpse into the daily life of a Japanese family. From start to finish, we had a fantastic time with Masaho. We would highly recommend this class to anyone visiting Tokyo who wants an authentic Japanese experience.

We had an amazing experience with Satoko. Her class is exceptionally well delivered and she provided a great background on the cultural significance of mochi as well as the techniques to make it. She went over and beyond to make it a memorable experience and I will be recommending this class to any friends visiting Tokyo!

Discovering the Delights of Gluten-Free Japanese Tea Cooking Classes

Embark on a culinary journey that brings together the art of cooking and the soothing rituals of the Japanese tea tradition, all while accommodating a gluten-free lifestyle. Our Gluten-Free Japanese Tea Cooking Classes provide a unique experience for food enthusiasts looking to delve into Japanese culture without dietary restrictions holding them back. These classes offer a comprehensive approach to understanding and preparing traditional Japanese dishes that are naturally gluten-free, paired expertly with the serene practice of Japanese tea preparation.

Why Choose Gluten-Free Japanese Tea Cooking Classes?

For many, the idea of Japanese cuisine is often associated with soy sauce and other wheat-containing ingredients. However, Japan offers a wide array of dishes that can be enjoyed gluten-free. These cooking classes are an excellent opportunity to explore such dishes, including the preparation of miso soup, sushi variations without soy sauce, rice flour-based mochi, and tempura using gluten-free batter. In addition to the food, the integration of Japanese tea ceremonies adds an enriching cultural layer to the experience, providing participants not only with culinary skills but also an appreciation for the mindfulness and tranquility that Japanese tea brings.

What to Expect in Your Cooking Class

Your Gluten-Free Japanese Tea Cooking Class will be guided by expert chefs who are well-versed in both traditional Japanese techniques and modern gluten-free adaptations. Classes usually begin with a brief introduction to the importance of tea in Japanese culture, including the different types of teas such as matcha and sencha. Participants will learn the process of brewing tea according to traditional methods, experiencing firsthand the tranquility of this ancient practice. Following the tea preparation, the class will move on to cooking sessions where you'll use fresh, locally-sourced ingredients to prepare authentic Japanese recipes, ensuring they meet gluten-free standards. Expect to enjoy your creations along with a perfect cup of tea, blending flavors that are not just delectable but also health-conscious.
