Omakase
The sushi venue in Roppongi with "the best private room in Minato" has innovative sushi to match its sophisticated ambiance. Dining here is meant for once-in-a-lifetime moments.
Restaurant Details
“A place you have to go before you die.”
It’s a bold statement coming from a sushi restaurant positioned in ultra-rich Minato-ku, the one ward in Tokyo powered by so many Michelin-starred venues that these days, it almost seems over-saturated. Yet Sushi Yon, with its impeccable hospitality and vibrant clubhouse atmosphere, is dead serious about offering an omakase sushi experience that justifies the hype.
The palatial buzz is obvious the moment guests step into the restaurant. Sharp-suited bartenders and chefs greet them with a smile before they usher them to their seats. While the counter, offering stunning vistas of Tokyo’s nightscape, is tempting, when a restaurant claims to have “the best private room in Minato,” it’s worth heeding.
This may sound hyperbolic, but a service in one of Sushi Yon’s private rooms has to be experienced to be believed. Skilfully blending modern design cues like subdued lighting and an all-glass floor with traditional Japanese wooden furnishings, as well as a completely private, attached bathroom, it’s the perfect place for once-in-a-lifetime moments.
The sushi is undoubtedly Edomae through and through (the blend of red rice vinegar is proprietary to Sushi Yon alone), added with a few sparks of spare-no-expense spirit. Their creative flair is evident in signature dishes like the "mille-feuille" — a luxurious stack of toro-taku (tuna and pickled radish), sea urchin, and rice. The tri-color combination of green onion, shiro-ebi (white shrimp) and uni, meanwhile, seals the deal.
Feeling indulgent? The English menu makes it easy to explore their extensive wine, sake, and shochu selection, or order extra nigiri a la carte for a lavish experience. Guests can also bring kids along for more intimate family gatherings.
