Utterly brilliant class, I highly recommend it to everyone and it was an incredible way to get better connected to Japanese culture too, whatever your experience level already!! Not to mention, you learn life-skills, and you get to taste some beyond amazing drinks and food as you work and learn -- huge thank you to the entire team but most of all to my awesome teacher that day!! Thank you so so much, you are so awesome!!

This is the best class for anyone who loves cooking. It is also a new and fun class for those who don't like cooking. Also, this cafe, which hosts this tour, is very friendly and caring to everyone. It has various souvenirs made with kome rice, and it is a very nice cafe that is eco-friendly. I will try to make onigiri in the way they taught me. If you go to Tokyo, Japan, you should definitely take this class. Not only will you have fun, you can also eat your own delicious onigiri. この店最高 :)

We thoroughly enjoyed the miso making class. Sae-san and the others were so welcoming and knowledgable. They explained everything in detail and loved the "hands on" class for both of us. After we made the miso, we loved being offered to taste different misos and the amakaze. They served us miso soup so that we could tast 2 of the different types of miso. It was interesting how differrent they all tasted. We also both loved the hojicha and match flavors of amakaze and the rice cookies were delicious. It was a cute shop and will definitely go back for a visit the next time we are in Tokyo. Can't wait to make some miso at home! We need to keep the Japanese traditions going. Highly recommend this class. Five stars!

I mostly enjoyed the Miso Making workshop and everyone there was absolutely lovely. However our teacher was more of a translator than knowledgeable in the art of Miso making and so questions slightly above surface level where hard to get an answer to. Fortunately part of the workshop is an Amazake taste test and that washed all of my frustrations away.

This was a fantastic experience!! The shop is cute and quaint and on the street to Tokyo Tower and on the way to Zojoji temple. Our host was very informative on how miso is made and the different types of miso. It was fun and challenging to make our own miso. We got to taste different misos at the end and had miso soup. We also did some Amazake (a sweet fermented rice drink) tasting because they have it there at the shop as well. I loved everyone at the shop and the experience. This is a MUST if you really want to experience true Japanese products, hospitality, and generosity.

We had a wonderful and truly unique experience at Masaho's sushi class. While eating at a sushi restaurant is great, the sushi we made ourselves tasted even more special. Masaho was incredibly kind and patient throughout the entire class. Not only did she gently guide us through the process, but she also spoke excellent English and taught us about the history of sushi and what everyday life in Japan is like. Instead of being in an office room, we made sushi in an authentic Japanese house. This gave us a wonderful glimpse into the daily life of a Japanese family. From start to finish, we had a fantastic time with Masaho. We would highly recommend this class to anyone visiting Tokyo who wants an authentic Japanese experience.

It was such a great experience. Such a great, and easy to find, location. The lesson was hands on and they spoke great English and even gave us a printed recipe to take home. We also loved the little gift shop attached and how they gave us a beautiful gift at the end. Can't wait for my Miso to ferment and eat! Highly recommend this experience.

Such a fun experience! The team really made us feel welcome and were very engaging, very knowledgeable and passionate about sharing their skills. We had a lot of questions which they were happy to answer and we left feeling really inspired to continue learning about traditional Japanese culinary methods. Have already recommended the class to some other friends and we can't wait to come back again in the future!

It was a very unique and wonderful experience. Maria is a very cheerfull teacher, she was very patient with me. We made Dashi, Dashimaki Tamago (japanese rolled omelet) and Onigiri. She explained to me the importance of Dashi in the japanese cuisine. We was able to talk about lot of things about Japan. Being able to cook in the shrine is an unique experience. I was also able to get the Goshuin of this shrine by Maria. I highly recommend this experience! For the little plus, the shrine is quite peaceful, there are trees around it that make shadows, that makes it quite enjoyable even during summer.
