Step into a century-old cooking school in Osaka and learn how to craft a rich, flavorful bowl of gluten-free ramen using traditional Japanese dashi.
This experience offers a deep dive into Kansai’s renowned dashi culture, where you’ll taste and compare multiple types of dashi to understand the delicate layers of umami that define authentic ramen broth.
Guided by a seasoned cooking instructor with over a decade of experience, who teaches more than 10,000 students each year, you’ll make your own ramen soup from scratch.
The noodles are store-bought and gluten-free, but the real focus is on building a healthy, satisfying bowl through the broth and toppings. You’ll also learn how to prepare classic ramen toppings that you can easily recreate at home, no matter where you're from.
After completing your ramen, enjoy your homemade bowl along with a side of mini fried rice.
The experience even touches on sustainability, incorporating SDG-friendly practices into the lesson. Best of all, you'll receive an English-language recipe to take home, so you can continue your gluten-free ramen journey beyond Japan.
