At modest prices, Kaji provides the most traditional Japanese cuisine in a kappo style of dining, bursting with originality in the way they add on flavors to well-established dishes to make things altogether new.
Lying in the heart of downtown Kyoto, this well-regarded restaurant specializes in seafood, which dominates most of the dishes in their omakase course menu. One of the highlights is the Otoshi Hassun, featuring a medley of dishes that changes monthly. Look out for dishes like potato salad topped with soft roe sauce, and tofu skin with soy sauce-marinated salmon roe.
Otoshi Hassun offers a classic dining experience where guests can enjoy true Kyo-ryori with a burst of the chef's original flavor combinations.
