Nestled in the historic Higashiyama district, this intimate class is the perfect way to experience Kyoto's culinary magic.


Guided by Hana, a friendly local who grew up in Kyoto and is passionate about sharing her love for Japanese cuisine, you’ll learn to make two iconic dishes: rolled sushi and takoyaki.


As you cook, Hana will take you on a delightful journey through Kyoto’s food traditions, sharing stories, tips, and the rich history behind each dish. Apart from being an enriching cooking experience, this class fosters connections with the culture and flavors of Japan in a way that feels personal and heartwarming.


Once you’ve created your delicious dishes, it’s time to relax and enjoy the fruits of your labor. Savor your handmade sushi and takoyaki while sipping on local sake, and end the experience on a sweet note with rich, velvety matcha ice cream, made from the finest matcha in Kyoto.
