Yuko was a great host and taught us how to make Nerikiri in a very easy to understand manner. It was amazing that we, who had no experience in Japanese confectionery making, could make such beautiful Nerikiri!! It was a wonderful experience!! Thank you, Yuko!

I loved my experience with Yuko-San. She was a very sweet lady who wants to make sure you get the best experience possible. The cooking was pretty fast paced but it's because she wants you to have the time slow down and enjoy the sweets you made while drinking a cup of tea and chatting with her. She is interested in you and wants to know about your story. If you learn Japanese before booking this class, you will gain even more from this experience since you will able to connect with her even more. I truly think she makes the experience worth it. It is much better than a step by step Youtube video. It felt more personal. Arigatō gozaimasu Yuko-San

Yuko-san provided us with a wonderful history of Wagashi before the course started and showed us what we would be making. We had so much fun learning about Japanese sweets. I highly recommend stopping here in Tokyo on your next trip. It’s worth it just to explore the beautiful neighbourhood and get to eat delicious s.weets and matcha tea. Yuko was a gracious host.

We had such an exceptional experience! A sincere thank you to our host, Kaoru, who thought through every detail end-to-end to ensure a seamless experience. My family and I thoroughly enjoyed every moment of it - not only the fantastic mochi lesson, but most importantly her company and the time she took to explain mochi's significance in the Japanese culture. This made such a great memory for our trip that our family will cherish for a lifetime. We will book another lesson with Kaoru the next time we are in Tokyo for sure. Thank you again! ❤️

This is the best class for anyone who loves cooking. It is also a new and fun class for those who don't like cooking. Also, this cafe, which hosts this tour, is very friendly and caring to everyone. It has various souvenirs made with kome rice, and it is a very nice cafe that is eco-friendly. I will try to make onigiri in the way they taught me. If you go to Tokyo, Japan, you should definitely take this class. Not only will you have fun, you can also eat your own delicious onigiri. この店最高 :)

We are so grateful for this experience. We wanted to make some nerikiri back at home, and we felt this was a very good and complete first step into this world. Before the class, we asked to make the sakura and momiji because we really wanted to try them, and Nariko had no problem adapting to our requests. During the class, we made five models: two chrysanthemums (the second one was really difficult), one sakura, one momiji, and one bunny, because it was Tsukimi. Although the second chrysanthemum was quite challenging, it turned out pretty good, and with a bit more practice, the small petals will surely look even better. Nariko’s explanations were very helpful — at first it seemed difficult, but we got used to it, and the nerikiri turned out quite good for our first time making them. Nariko is a really fun and kind person, and I would absolutely love to learn more from her again in the future!

We were warmly welcomed by Keiko and seated in a room looking out onto a beautiful garden. She led us through the process of making sweets with red bean paste centers. We silently watched her perform the tea ceremony and enjoyed the matcha tea she made. We then had the opportunity to try tea making ourselves. We appreciated Keiko’s kindness and the history of the traditional Japanese tea ceremony.

Matcha has long been celebrated for its rich umami taste and vibrant green color, making it a favorite ingredient in a variety of dishes. In vegan cuisine, matcha elevates simple ingredients into exquisite creations. The savory side of matcha vegan cuisine includes dishes like matcha-infused noodles or vegan matcha miso soup. Noodles made from buckwheat or whole grains are enhanced with matcha, offering a nutritious and flavorful meal that supports your health and wellness goals. Pair these delicacies with a bowl of steaming matcha miso soup, a harmonious blend of traditional Japanese flavors and modern vegan innovation. These dishes are not only visually appealing but also bursting with flavor.

Why Choose Vegan Matcha Experiences?

Choosing vegan matcha food experiences is not just about exploring new tastes; it’s also about embracing a lifestyle that promotes health and sustainability. Enjoy the satisfying feeling of knowing that your food choices are both delicious and aligned with your values.

Moreover, vegan matcha food experiences allow you to explore cultural traditions in a contemporary context. As veganism gains popularity, chefs around the world are increasingly inspired to incorporate matcha into their creations, offering innovative dishes that reflect Japan's culinary heritage while catering to modern dietary preferences. By choosing these experiences, you not only support this creative culinary innovation but also get to enjoy the diverse flavors that vegan matcha cuisine has to offer.
