Vegan Food Experiences

Hiro gave us a fabulous food experience in downtown Kyoto and informative walking tour through the Gion district. The restaurants he selected for us were perfect, and met our challenging food restrictions :) He was also a great photographer and knew the perfect locations to take the perfect photo! Great experience. Chef is so kind and the class is a ton of fun. Food tasted amazing and we learned a lot. High quality fresh ingredients from Japan. Highly recommended!

This was the most incredible travel experience I have ever had in my life!!! Koichi-san and Kyoko-san are so incredibly kind, and Koichi-san is the PERFECT guide! He brought us to so many interesting places, and we had so many cups of incredible tea. (We lost count after 15 hahaha). Their home is absolutely gorgeous as a beautiful traditional Japanese home but also with modern amenities like modern bathroom and AC. It was a beautiful, and we were so so comfortable. We loved every part of the experience. The best part was their outstanding homemade cooking. I will be having dreams about how good it was!! So artfully plated - incredible aesthetic but also so delicious and unique. Out of everything we did in our 2 week vacation around Japan, this stood out the most, and we are telling all our friends about this experience. Highly, highly recommend!! It doesn't get better than this!!

We had a great time exploring the market with Hiro! It was interesting to learn about his "day job" and he took us to several great spots, including the basement of the department store where locals buy their lunches. Only noting that we stopped at one store and were told everything should be fine for our dietary restrictions, but I checked ingredients when I got home and one sauce had beef & pork in it. We should definitely have checked and do not expect Hiro to know every ingredient in all the packaged goods in the market! Just advice to future travelers to translate everything!

It was lovely to be hosted at David’s wasabi farm, I learned a lot, ate delicious wasabi and had a peaceful day. It’s a beautiful place. Thank you!

This was one our favorite activities in Japan! We were able to do a vegan menu and my teenagers were even engaged the whole time.

My wife, daughters and I had an amazing time. It was delicious and they were patient with my 2 year old. Definitely recommend!

Shu and his wife were amazing! Their energy and hospitality were next level. I learned so much about different types of ramen that I will utilize in my home batches. He's also a huge baseball fan, so more fun conversations.

Such a fun night! Yoshi took us to great places, shared wonderful food, drink and energy with our group. We had the best time and it was a perfect introduction to the city. Also loved the language and culture insights…and did I mention the food :)
